Professors' Network

Professors' Networks in numbers
The CEA Professors’ Network has been gathering 193 professors and researchers (135 ordinary members, 58 extraordinary members) from 54 universities in 15 countries since 2021. The two pillars of the Professors’ Network, namely the Central European Professors’ Network and the Polish–Hungarian Professors’ Network, have ordinary members from the following universities:
Central European Professors' Network
The Professors' Network was originally launched in 2021 at the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law and was transferred to the Central European Academy in January 2022. The Central European Professors' Network primarily pools the research activities of scientific communities from 8 Central European countries – Czechia, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia. The countries and research communities involved are gradually expanding.
The Professors' Network aims to provide high quality answers to the real problems of Central Europe, not only for professionals in the region, but also for non-lawyers interested in the field. The CEA is a true think-tank, where researchers and their collaborators can feel at home while enriching European values through their knowledge.

Polish-Hungarian Professors' Network
Building on the experience of the Polish–Hungarian Research Platform operated by the Polish Institute of Justice (Instytut Wymiaru Sprawiedliwości – IWS) between 2021–2023, the Polish–Hungarian Professors' Network was established in 2024, with the primary aim to support research activities connected to the legal systems of the two countries and related research fields, and to publish their results in an open access, format.
