Professor profile

About

Dr Suzana Kraljić is a full professor at the University of Maribor. She teaches and researches family, medical and inheritance law. She is the Head of the Centre for Medical Law (UM). She was the leader of five bilateral and four student projects. She has been a guest lecturer at various universities Masaryk University, University of Bucharest, Leibnitz University Hannover, ELTE, University of Istanbul, University of Malta, University of Lisbon. Suzana Kraljić’s bibliography includes seven books and numerous book chapters and articles published in national and international journals.

She is the author of the first Slovenian-language commentary on the new Slovenian Family Code (2019). She was awarded a prize by the RS Ministry of Family Affairs in 2022 for her monograph „Pravni izzivi skrbništva”.

She was a member of the research group ‘Protection of family in the legal system’ in the Central European Professors’ Network 2021. She was a member of the research group ‘Content of the right to parental responsibility’ in the Central European Professors’ Network 2022. She was a member of the research group ‘Demographic Challenges – legal responses’ in the Central European Professors’ Network 2023. She is a member of the research group ‘Assisted Reproductive Technologies’ in the Central European Professors’ Network 2024. She is author in the following books of the CEA Publishing: (a) Family Protection From a Legal Perspective (2021), (b) Content of the Right to Parental Responsibility. Experiences – Analyses – Postulates (2022), (c) The rights of the child in private law – Central European Comparative perspective (2024), (d) Demographic Challenges in Central Europe: Legal and Family Policy Response (2024). She is author of scientific articles published in the following scientific journal(s) of the CEA Publishing: (a) Law, Identity and Values.
