The I Polish-Hungarian Scientific Forum will launch a collaborative dialogue between Polish and Hungarian researchers, focused on key legal issues. The event is part of the Polish-Hungarian Research Platform and will introduce the preliminary findings of five research groups addressing shared challenges between the two countries.
Topics include the Reversed Rule of Law in Poland, where initial analysis of recent changes in the Polish legal system will be presented, examining shifts in governance and the rule of law. Another key topic is the Changes in the Structure and Scope of Foreign Service Activity, providing an overview of the evolving role of foreign services in response to global challenges. The forum will also address Child Welfare and Modern Technologies, focusing on the role that new technologies play in safeguarding children’s rights while also highlighting potential risks. Discussions will include the Social Exclusion of Older People – Legal Responses, exploring how legal frameworks can mitigate the social isolation of older adults. Finally, the issue of Transnational Migration Crime will be discussed, presenting early findings on crime linked to migration and potential legal and social strategies for addressing these challenges.
This event will serve as an introduction to these research areas, setting the groundwork for more detailed discussions and analyses in future gatherings.
