Professor profile


Rafał Wielki, Ph.D. in Law, is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration and a Supervisor of the Scientific Circle of Forensics and Criminology. He is an author of nearly thirty scientific publications, speaker at dozens of international scientific conferences, involved academic teacher supporting students engaging in science. His research interests include forensic science, criminology, forensic examination, new technologies in criminal law, analysis of information in criminal cases and law enforcement cooperation against cross-border crimes.

His Ph.D. thesis "Analysis of information in combating corruption crimes" was awarded in the competition for the prize of the First Deputy General Prosecutor - National Prosecutor for the best Ph.D. thesis and distinguished by the Scientific Council of the University of Opole and the Polish Forensic Association. He was Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Opole (2020-2024) and Scientific Council Member Prof. Jan Sehn Institute of Forensic Research in Kraków (2021-2025). He has carried out internships in public administration units, the police and the judiciary. He has promoted nearly thirty graduate students in forensic science and criminology.
