On February 6–7, first-year PhD students at the Central European Academy had the opportunity to attend a lecture delivered by Dr. Magdolna Vallasek PhD, a distinguished professor of labour law at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár). Titled The Human (Rights) Face of Labour Law, the lecture explored the universality of labour law, its interaction with human rights, and concepts such as flexicurity and decent work. Thought-provoking questions centered on the human rights perspective of labour law encouraged interaction, creating an engaging atmosphere where vibrant discussions emerged, leaving participants with a deeper understanding of the subject.
