Ceremonial signing of the Cooperation Agreement

Ceremonial Signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Faculty of Law of Comenius University, the Faculty of Law of the University of Miskolc, and the Central European Academy On July 3, 2025, representatives of the Central European Academy took part in a ceremonial signing hosted by the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Prof. Dr. Tímea Dr. Heinerné Barzó, Director General of the CEA; Prof. JUDr. Eduard Burda, PhD., Dean of the Faculty of Law of Comenius University; and Prof. Dr. Csilla Csák, Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Miskolc.


The memorandum aims to strengthen academic and educational collaboration among the three institutions, with a focus on supporting legal research and knowledge exchange in the Central European region.

As part of the same event, the representatives of the CEA also signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Faculty of Law of Comenius University and CEDR – the Hungarian Association for Agrarian Law. The agreement provides the basis for organizing the JAEL 2025 scientific conference, which will take place in November this year in Budapest. The conference will focus on the topic of environmental liability and sanctioning and is being jointly prepared by the signatory institutions. It will bring together speakers and authors from Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland, whose contributions will be published in a forthcoming issues of the Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Law (JAEL).


The ceremony were attended by representatives of the host faculty, including Vice-Dean Prof. JUDr. Lívia Trellová, PhD., Vice-Dean JUDr. Lukáš Turay, PhD., and JUDr. Matúš Michalovič, PhD.
