Meeting with Representatives of the Central European Academy of the University of Miskolc from Budapest

The President of the Constitutional Court, Dr Vladan Petrov, and the judges of the Constitutional Court, Dr Dudás Attila and Dr Bojan Tubić, met today at the Constitutional Court with representatives of the Central European Academy in Budapest, Prof. Dr János Ede Szilágyi, Director for Strategy, and Dr Katarzyna Zombory, Director of the Research Centre. The meeting was also attended, on behalf of the Embassy of Hungary in Belgrade, by the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Eva Hetei-Vizi.

President Petrov welcomed the representatives of the Academy and the Embassy, noting that this was the first international visit since he assumed office as President of the Court. He introduced the guests to the role and importance of the Constitutional Court and pointed out that there is potential for institutional cooperation with the Academy, where some Constitutional Court judges already teach. Such cooperation could include new ideas and joint projects, particularly in light of the strong friendship between Serbia and Hungary.

Prof. Dr János Ede Szilágyi said that it was a pleasure and an honour to visit the Constitutional Court and that they would consider possible ways and formats of cooperation. After the meeting, he also gave a presentation on the study programmes at the Central European Academy, which was attended by advisers of the Constitutional Court.
