On September 16-17, 2024, the Central European Academy had the honor of hosting Professor Dr. Paweł Czubi, a distinguished professor of Law at the Kraków University of Economics and a member of the Extraordinary Review and Public Affairs Chamber of the Polish Supreme Court.
During his visit, Professor Czubik delivered a profound and detailed lecture on the evolution and current landscape of diplomatic and consular law, the operations of diplomatic missions, relevant case law from the International Court of Justice, and specifically on interpretation of Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic (1961) and Consular Relations (1963).
In addition, Professor Czubik conducted a specialized session focused on the analysis of the EU Succession Regulation (ESR). Drawing on his extensive experience as a former notary public in Kraków and a member of the National Notary Council of Poland, Professor Czubik provided invaluable practical insights into the application of ESR by national courts and notaries.
