First-year junior researchers of the Central European Academy had an honour and privilege to hear a two-day lecture delivered by dr Milan Škulić, full-time professor at the University of Belgrade-Faculty of Law and vice-president of the Constitutional Court of Serbia, on the topic of "Criminal Responsibility in International Criminal Law". The main focus of the lecture was on the variants of perpetration of crimes that fall within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. Also, various possible grounds that exclude criminal responsibility have been addressed as well. Finally, professor Škulić gave an interesting insight into some forms of so-called broadened criminal responsibility stipulated by the Rome Statute, namely an attempted commission of an international crime, as well as command responsibility. At the end of the lecture, a very interesting and vivid discussion followed on the said topics.
