On 26 February 2026, the Junior Researchers of the Academy held an EU Workshop with Senior Mentor Dr. Judit Varga. During the event, first-year students presented their research topics and received professional guidance for their future dissertations and legal careers.
Zsófia examined the humand rights risks connected to the use of artificial intelligence, especially regarding economic, social, an cultural rights. Her research compares the legal approaches of Poland, Hungary, and Romania and proposes reforms to improve the protection of socio-economic rights in the age of AI.
Dimitrij examined rule of law issues and competition enforcement within the EU Single Market. He highlighted challenges related to the decentralization of competition law enforcement and the role of National Competition Authorities. His research also addressed risks to legal certainty, fair trial rights, and the unity of the EU internal market.
Bruno Boban analyzed the constitutional development of Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia after the breakup of Yugoslavia. He emphasized the growing importance of constitutional courts, European legal traditions, and multilevel constitutionalism in the region.
