On 2-12 November the Central European Academy of the University of Miskolc will host a PhD Thesis Workshop, providing fourth-year doctoral students with a valuable opportunity to practice defending their dissertation research. The workshop will simulate a real defense process, allowing our candidates to gain experience in presenting their work, responding to critiques, and handling questions from experts. During the workshop, PhD students will deliver presentations summarizing their research findings and key arguments. They will then face opponents who will provide constructive feedback and challenge their work. PhD candiates will have the opportunity to respond to these arguments and demonstrate their ability to defend their research. The workshop will culminate in an open Q&A session where PhD candidates will answer questions from the audience. This experience will help prepare our doctoral candidates for the challenges they may encounter during their official defences in the 2026/2027 academic year.
*The event is private and by invitation only.
