On the 16th and 17th of June, first-year PhD students at the Central European Academy were given the opportunity to attend two SUP workshops delivered by Full Professor Dr. Sanja Savčić from the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad.
An in-depth discussion was held on various issues related to intellectual property law, including the complexities of copyright infringement —such as the unauthorized use, distribution, and adaptation of protected works.
Significant challenges posed by emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, in the identification, protection, and enforcement of IP rights in a rapidly evolving digital environment were also thoroughly examined.
Additionally, the topic of contracts for digital content and services was addressed, focusing on legal implications, consumer protection, and the evolving regulatory frameworks within the digital single market.
