The 4th Children’s Rights Days Conference has come to a close – marking the end of an inspiring two-day professional journey!
The aim of the conference was not only to formally acknowledge the voices of children, but to genuinely represent them and ensure their meaningful participation in decision-making processes.
The conference examined how professionals, institutions, and legal systems can create an environment in which children’s rights are realised through genuine and substantive representation and legal processes.
This year’s highlighted panel focused on Croatia. Renowned Croatian scholars and experts presented the reforms and best practices implemented in the fields of social welfare, family courts, special guardianship, and youth participation, with particular emphasis on the Social Welfare Academy.
In order to move beyond second-hand perspectives, one of the main elements of the conference was a roundtable discussion composed of children, where young participants were able to discuss the relevant issues based on their own experiences and examples.

To further enrich the conference and to better understand children’s voices, thoughts, and feelings through art, we once again launched a drawing competition. From the submitted drawings and artworks, an exhibition was created, which was available throughout the entire duration of the conference. The first visitors to this exhibition were the young artists themselves, who, accompanied by a cup of hot chocolate, could admire their own works and those of their peers.

With the aim of ensuring that Christmas is a time of joy and happiness for everyone, we organised our annual charity collection for children in need. A large number of gifts were received, helping to brighten the holidays for children whose everyday lives are more challenging than those of their peers.

We would like to thank all participants, speakers, and everyone who contributed in any way to the successful implementation of the 4th Children’s Rights Days Conference!
