Federalism Vs Coexistence? The Diverging Paths Ahead For The Eu And The Role Of Member States

The Central European Academy 2023 on 23-24 November 2023 "Federalism Vs Coexistence? The Diverging Paths Ahead For The Eu And The Role Of Member States", organised by the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Miskolc, the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law and the Central European Comparative Law Association.

The aim of the research is to examine how the Member States of the European Union, and in particular the individual institutions, work (and can work) to achieve co-existence and what processes and institutions may need to be rethought (e.g. redefining EU and Member State competences, revisiting the principle of pre-emption, better understanding the process of federalism, etc.)

The "Federalism or Coexistence? The divergent paths ahead for the EU and the role of the Member States" was organised in preparation for the Hungarian EU Presidency in 2024, in cooperation with the Ministry of European Union Affairs
