The conference was attended by the members of the Central European Academy's Research Group on the Supranational Interpretation of the Rule of Law, coordinated by Dr János Bóka (Ministry of EU Affairs, Hungary), under the auspices of the Central European Academy. The aim of the conference was to present the results of the research project, which will be published as a scientific monograph in spring 2024. The conference focused on the interpretation of the rule of law, enforcement procedures and sanctions regimes of various supranational institutions, including the Council of Europe, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the United Nations, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe and, in particular, the European Union. The conference also aimed to engage in an academic dialogue on the process of supranationalisation of the concept of the rule of law and its relevance for the countries of Central Europe.
