About
Damián Němec is a professor and head of the Department of Church History and Church Law at the Faculty of Theology of Saint Cyril and Methodius at Palacký University Olomouc. He has taught, as well as church law history and the relationship between church and state at the Faculty of Philosophy of the same university. Additionally, he has taught church law at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.

Damián Němec is a researcher at the Institute for Questions of Religious Freedom at the Faculty of Law of Trnava University in Trnava, Slovak Republic. He is an expert in the law of consecrated life, sacramental law, and the relationships between church and state, particularly concerning concordats between the Holy See and individual states. He has authored four monographs, eight book chapters, five contributions to Festschrifts, fifteen articles in international peer-reviewed journals, twenty-five articles in national peer-reviewed journals, and twenty-six articles in peer-reviewed journals.
