Artur Kotowski is a full professor of legal sciences. He heads the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law at the Institute of Legal Sciences within the Faculty of Law and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. He is the author of over one hundred scholarly publications and several dozen popular articles in the fields of legal theory and philosophy, public law, criminal law, and the methodology of legal sciences.
Professor Kotowski is an active legal practitioner: since 2009 he has been employed at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland (since 2017 as a Member of the Supreme Court Research and Analyses Office); He also served as a member of the Main Commission Adjudicating Cases of Breaches of Public Finance Discipline (cadency: 2021−2025), and as a Judge of the Exchange Court at the Warsaw Stock Exchange (cadency: 2022−2025). From 2020 to 2024, he served as Director of the Institute of Legal Sciences and Chair of the Discipline Council for Legal Sciences at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University.
