Anna Szarek-Zwijacz specialises in public international law, in particular in the law of treaties, human rights and diplomatic and consular law. She wrote her PhD dissertation on the topic “The control functions of treaty bodies in the UN system of human rights protection”. After obtaining her PhD degree, her research interests focused mainly on the issues of the law of treaties (she wrote expert opinions concerning the work of International Law Commission on reservations to treaties for The Law and Treaty Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland).
She is a member of the research group ‘Changes in the structure and scope of foreign service activity ‘ in the Polish-Hungarian Professors’ Network 2024.
