Introduction

Dr. Anikó Raisz is Vice-President of the UN General Assembly on the Environment (from 2024), former President of the European Union Environment Council (in 2024), former Minister of State for Public Administration (2019–2022), current Minister of State for the Environment (from 2022), and member of the National Council for Sustainable Development. She is head of the Department of International and Comparative Law at the University of Miskolc and a committed supporter of the CEA UM’s mission.

She was a member of the research group ‘Migration Challenges – legal responses’ in the Central European Professors’ Network 2023.

She is PhD supervisor in the „Central European Comparative Law” PhD programme at the Ferenc Deák Doctoral School of Law of the University of Miskolc.
She is member of the editorial board of the following book series and scientific journals of the CEA Publishing: (a) Studies of the Central European Professors’ Network, (b) Legal Studies on Central Europe, (c) Law, Identity and Values. She is editor of the following books of the CEA Publishing: Migration and Central Europe (2024). She is editor and author in the following books of the CEA Publishing: (a) International Law From a Central European Perspective (2022), (b) Children’s Rights in Regional Human Rights Systems (2024), (c) International Children’s Rights (2024). She is (co)author in the following books of the CEA Publishing: (a) Constitutional Protection of the Environment and Future Generations (2022).
