On October 20–21, 2025, the “Thesis Workshop” organized by the Central European Academy was held. The aim of the event was to provide fourth-year doctoral students with practical experience in defending their dissertations. The workshop closely simulated the official defense process, allowing candidates to present their main findings and arguments, respond to criticism, and answer questions from experts. Each presentation was followed by a discussion with designated opponents, who provided constructive feedback and challenged the candidates’ work, thereby creating an opportunity to strengthen both content and presentation style.

The event concluded with an open question-and-answer session, giving participants the chance to further develop their ability to engage with a broader audience. By recreating the dynamics of an official defense, the workshop aimed to equip doctoral students—who were preparing for their final examinations in the 2025/2026 academic year—with valuable skills and confidence.
