Bemutatkozás
Veress Emőd (Ph.D., dr. habil., D.Sc.) a Miskolci Egyetem egyetemi tanára és az ugyanezen egyetemhez tartozó Miskolci Egyetem Közép-európai Akadémia (ME KEA) kutatóprofesszora. Emellett tanít a Sapientia Erdélyi Magyar Tudományegyetemen, Kolozsváron (Románia). Számos nemzetközi és hazai kutatási projektben vett részt. Egyik kutatási területe az igazságszolgáltatás szervezete. Termékeny szerzőként számos neves folyóiratban publikál, és több monográfiát is megjelentetett.
Emellett több tudományos szervezet és szerkesztőbizottság tagja, többek között a Central European Journal of Comparative Law és a Hungarian Yearbook of Private International Law című folyóiratnak. Világszerte tart előadásokat egyetemeken és konferenciákon. Kitüntetései között szerepel a Magyar Érdemrend Lovagkeresztje és a MTA Akadémiai Díja.

Tagja volt a 2023-as Közép-európai Professzori Hálózat „A jogállamiság nemzetközi koncepciója” című kutatócsoportjának.
A Miskolci Egyetem Deák Ferenc Állam- és Jogtudományi Doktori Iskola „Central European Comparative Law” PhD programjának témavezetője.
