The conference aimed to provide a broad framework for reflection on the accountability of constitutional state organs in the context of Poland\u2019s rule of law crisis. Its task was not only to present different legal regimes \u2013 constitutional, criminal, administrative, disciplinary, and international \u2013 but also to assess whether in practice they truly served the protection of the state and its citizens, or whether they had been weakened and politicized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus was on the erosion of constitutional control mechanisms and the most important state institutions. During this event, the results of the book chapters were presented, offering a general diagnosis of accountability related problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This conference served as a first step \u2013 identifying systemic weaknesses and seeking answers to the question of how state authorities could be held accountable for actions formally based on a mandate but materially violating the standards of the rule of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
