On 15-16 February 2024, the Central European Academy and the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb will organise a conference entitled \"Migration Challenges - Legal Responses in Specific Terms\", in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Miskolc, the Ferenc M\u00e1dl Institute of Comparative Law, the Institute of Justice Warsaw and the Central European Comparative Law Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The economic governance research project examines the economic aspects of governance, including its fiscal (public finance, taxation and state aid) and monetary policy pillars. The specificity of the research project is that it not only analyses the above issues from a general, theoretical perspective, but also takes into account the specific perspectives of the Central and Eastern European countries as well as the EU legal position. The Central and Eastern European perspective will be developed on a country-by-country basis (7 EU Member States and 1 non-EU Member State), but the research project aims to draw general conclusions from the observation of national specificities. This approach will allow to identify similarities and differences between the positions of the Member States and between the Member States and the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consequently, the reasons for any conflicting positions can be identified.
The research aims to shed light on the benefits and challenges of supranationalism in the field of economic policy, with a particular focus on the coordination of EU and Member State objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
