The Central European Academy (CEA), which is committed to supporting Central European comparative jurisprudence, began its activities on January 1, 2022.
The aim of the Academy is to manage research and training projects that also cover Central European countries, while addressing both representatives of jurisprudence and young professionals interested in the field. In order to achieve its goals, CEA operates the Central European Professorial Network, the Junior Program, and organises international scientific conferences and webinars.
Additionally, it provides scientific publication opportunities, and also creates and manages online professional interfaces. As a result of its activities, the Academy is confident that, in addition to further developing the level of domestic legislation, it can be the creator and supporter of a widely recognised professional network covering Central European countries.

The Central European Academy is an independent management unit of the University of Miskolc, i.e. an organisational unit with an independent budget.
The management tasks required to achieve the goals of the Central European Academy are carried out by the director general, Dr. Heinerné Dr. Tímea Barzó.
Duties of CEA
Publishing and distributing legal journals and books of a high professional standard, supporting the international recognition of domestic and foreign legal journals and books, especially from Central Europe.
Seven countries, 47 researchers, 5 research groups, countless international scientific projects and dissertation materials - this is the CEA Professors' Network. Research, education, publishing, holding prestigious professional events.
