About
János Székely is a Senior Lecturer at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Department of Legal Science since 2017, having been a junior lecturer at the same institution since 2012. He earned his PhD in law at the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Law, Géza Marton School of Doctoral Studies in 2017. His research topics include the history of civil law and of civil procedure, comparative civil and procedural law, current civil procedure and inheritance law, as well as technological law, and the regulation of emerging and foundational technologies such as artificial intelligence, a topic on which he has organised several international scientific conferences.

He is the author, or co-author of three books in Romanian, three books in Hungarian, as well as numerous scientific articles and book chapters published in Hungarian, and in English.
