About
Ľudmila Elbert is University Associate Professor at the Institute of International and European Law at the Faculty of Law, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia, where she also holds the position of Vice-Rector for Pregraduate and Lifelong Education. She teaches courses on public international law, human rights and asylum law, as well as on the interaction of law and artificial intelligence, with a focus on autonomous weapons systems, and coaches students for international moot courts, mainly in the field of asylum law. She has participated in a number of research projects, e.g. as a member of the research group „Migration Challenges – Legal Responses” in the Central European Professors’ Network 2023, or the „Green ambitions for the sustainable development (European green deal in the context of the international and municipal law)”.

She has been a visiting scholar at the Library of the European University Institute (2013), at the Summer University of Continental Law organised by the Fondation pour le droit continental, Sorbonne, Paris, France (2012), and teaching mobility at the Università degli Studi Mediterranea, Reggio Calabria (2019), L’Université Paris – Saclay, France (2023), and Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Italy (2024).
