About
Kaja Kowalczewska is an Assistant Professor at the Academic Excellence Incubator – Centre for Digital Justice, at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wroclaw. She received her PhD in legal sciences with a specialization in international law at the Faculty of Law and Administration, Jagiellonian University in Kraków (2019). She was a visiting researcher at the University of Melbourne (2017) and the University of Cologne (2022). She is a member of the Commission for the Dissemination of International Humanitarian Law at the Polish Red Cross.

She is an author of the first monograph in Polish dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in armed conflicts. Her main fields of interests are international humanitarian law, international criminal law and new technologies.
