Changing foreign service conditions
More about the research objective
The aim of the research group is to study the changes in the functioning of consular and diplomatic traffic in countries, mainly from the perspective of Central European countries. The rules governing the foreign service and, above all, consular functions have undergone significant changes over the years. Some diplomatic institutions (e.g. diplomatic asylum) are also undergoing a certain evolution. These changes are generated by cooperation between states, but are also influenced by various external factors, such as the computerisation of work.
In its studies, the research group deals with the issue of changes in diplomatic traffic and, above all, with various aspects of domestic and international consular law - civil, administrative or criminal. It also analyses the changing construction of the norms of this law, and studies the various categories of foreign service bodies and the new public administrations with responsibilities in the field of legal relations with foreign states.
