Assisted Reproductive Technologies

More about the research objective

The international research project "Assisted Reproductive Techniques" (ART) involves lawyers from several Central European countries on behalf of the Central European Academy. As part of the project, a multi-author scientific monograph, scientific articles and blogs will be produced in 2024-2025, two international conferences and several dissemination events will be organised.
Central to the scientific project will be the research that will result in the production of so-called national reports, which will address issues such as the constitutional and axiological basis of assisted medical techniques, the principles of ART medical assistance, medical and family law, and the practice of ART in the Central European countries. A very important aspect of the research will be the formulation of de lege ferenda postulates. The national perspective of the legal analysis of assisted development techniques will be complemented by an analysis of the relevant guarantees in international instruments of a universal and regional nature. The research of legal experts will be accompanied by the work of experts, including in medicine and psychology.
