Studies of the Central European Professors’ Network

The book series Studies of the Central European Professors' Network, published by CEA Publishing (H-1122 Budapest, Városmajor u. 12-14.; responsible publisher: Dr. Heinerné Prof. Dr. Barzó Tímea Tünde) (HU ISSN 2786-2518) publishes the results of research carried out by the members of the Central European Professors' Network, established in 2021 by the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law, Budapest.Since 2022, the Professors' Network is operated by the Central European Academy of the University of Miskolc, with the collaboration of the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law. The primary objective of the series is to present and examine legal issues that are strongly related to the Central European region, taking into account the specific legal traditions, culture and approaches of the countries in the region. The credibility of the books is reflected in the fact that the authors, who are well known in the Central European region, write about the legal instruments of the countries of the Central European region in English. The aim of the book series is to position itself as a forum for comparative legal research, contributing to closer cooperation between the countries concerned, ensuring "best practices" and the accessibility and interpretability of different legal solutions for all Central European states. At the same time, it also aims to provide insights and detailed analyses on these topics to all interested legal scholars and legal professionals from outside the region, so that they can familiarise themselves with the legal systems of the Central European countries on a wide range of issues. The main editor of the book series is Prof. Dr. János Ede Szilágyi.

Legal Studies on Central Europe, published by CEA Publishing (H-1122 Budapest, Városmajor u. 12-14.; responsible publisher: Dr. Heinerné Prof. Dr. Barzó Tímea Tünde) book series (HU ISSN 2786-359X) seeks to publish comparative legal studies on a wide range of topics. The primary aim of the series is to present and examine legal issues arising in the Central European region, taking into account the legal traditions, cultures and approaches of the countries concerned. The series consists of titles not only on private and public law, but also on the history of law and integration. It also aims to include titles that analyse aspects of international law and EU law as they relate to the countries of the Central European region. The books in the series are aimed at both an academic audience and legal practitioners interested in contemporary legal issues relating to the countries of Central Europe. The main editor of the book series is Prof. Dr. János Ede Szilágyi.

Legal Heritage

The aim of the Legal Heritage book series published by CEA Publishing (H-1122 Budapest, Városmajor u. 12-14.; responsible publisher: Dr. Heinerné Prof. Dr. Tímea Tünde Barzó) is to publish the outstanding and novel results of research on significant events in Hungarian legal history, while commemorating an important anniversary in our history from a legal history point of view. In addition to the researchers of the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law, outstanding Hungarian legal scholars in the field of the law in question are also involved in the research and the writing of the volumes. The series of books is primarily of a legal-historical nature, but the individual studies take a constitutional, public, private or even comparative law approach to the subject under study. The first volume of the Legal Heritage series is entitled The Golden Bull in legal history and was published to mark the 800th anniversary of the birth of this outstandingly important document of Hungarian legal history. The main editor of the book series is Prof. Dr. János Ede Szilágyi.

Young Researchers’ Monographs

Published by CEA Publishing (H-1122 Budapest, Városmajor u. 12-14.; responsible publisher: Dr. Heinerné Prof. Dr. Barzó Tímea Tünde) The Young Researchers’ Monographs series aims to publish the main research results of young researchers, mainly on topics of interest to the Central European region, primarily for young researchers from the Central European region. The aim of the publisher is to support talented young researchers in their scientific careers. The series also provides a platform for valuable cultural initiatives. The book covers of the series feature a painting of the Central European University or law faculty, typically the location of the researcher's work. This strengthens the academic links between Central European universities and symbolises the role of legal education in preserving national and constitutional identity, while promoting solidarity in the region.
