About
As Director General of the Central European Academy (hereinafter: the Academy), he/she is responsible for the proper functioning of the Academy in accordance with its core business, exercising the rights of an employer over its staff and the rights of a person entrusted with the performance of his/her duties. Its main tasks are to direct and organise international comparative law research within the Academy and to promote research, training, publication and promotion activities. The Director General, through the Research Centre, is responsible for the management and administration of the Central European Professors' Network and the traineeship sub-programme of the Central European Junior Programme, as well as for the operation of the "CEA Publishing House".
It cooperates with the Rector of the founding University, the President of the Ferenc Deák Doctoral School of Law and Political Science and the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science in the tasks covered by its activities.

Tímea Heinerné Barzó will take up her duties as Director General of the Academy (CEA) from 01 July 2022. In addition to running the Academy, she is also Head Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Miskolc, where her research interests include health law, civil law, including personal law and family law.
Tímea Heinerné Barzó studied law at the University of Miskolc, where she obtained her PhD degree and habilitation. Her work experience has also been linked to the University of Miskolc since the beginning of her professional career. Currently, he is the Vice-Chairman of the Doctoral Council of the Ferenc Deák School of Law and Political Sciences and the Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the University of Miskolc.
Tímea Heinerné Barzó is a part-time professor at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the National University of Public Service.
Heinerné Barzó Tímea a kezdetektől fogva, 2021-től professzor tagja a Közép-európai Professzori Hálózatnak. Felelős szerkesztője a CEA Publishing ‘Young Researchers’ Monographs’ és ‘Quintessence Monograph Series’ könyvsorozatainak, és emellett szerkesztő bizottsági tagja a CEA Publishing számos más folyóiratának és könyvsorozatának.
Heinerné Barzó Tímea has more than 20 years of practical experience as a lawyer.
